Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) president Wycliffe Tugume aka Ykee Benda has responded to rape allegations that surfaced weeks ago.

Taking to his social media, Benda said the accusations were not true and that his social media accounts were mismanaged.

“Reference is made to tweets that appeared on my Twitter account on the evening of 9th January 2021. The person that manages my account got into some heated exchanges with a number of Twitter users and in the process, a lot of regrettable things were said,” tweeted the Farmer hitmaker.

It should be noted that on 9th January 2021, the singer got involved in a verbal exchange with fans on twitter when he was told to advocate for the release of Nubian Li who was arrested and Benda said that he had no mandate over him.

This seemed to not have gone down well with fans who retaliated , one of them alleging that Benda raped a girl back when he was in High school.
