Barbara Itungo Kyagulanyi,  wife to former National Unity Platform Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has revealed how they spent sleepless nights during the house Arrest at their home in Magere.

Following the 14th January, 2021 presidential and General elections, Bobi Wine and Wife were forced into house Arrest until the High Court ordered security forces to vacate Bob’s house on Monday 25th January 2021.

During an interview with NTV Uganda on Tuesday, Barbie said that they almost spent sleepless nights as they feared for their lives to security officers who were around their home 24/7.

“We started sleeping in turns, when he (Bobi) sleeps I wake up and when he wakes up I sleep too. We were trying to keep safe,” Barbie narrates.

She narrated that after they casted their vote on 14th January, they arrived home to security officers wearing different colors of Uniform but took it lightly thinking they were protecting them.

She adds that as time passed on, the number of security officers increased, they saw Police camp tents, mobile toilets among others.

Barbie further noted that they are still living with fear for their lives even though the security forces left their home on court order.

“Although court ordered security operatives to vacate our home, we are still living under fear because we are not certain that the same incident will happen again, I am glad that all this misfortune happened after we had taken our kids out of the country other wise the situation would have been harder,” Barbie said.
