URA has ordered its tax enforcement team to pick up Bobi Wine’s car allegedly for tax evasion. Police has deployed at the home of Former presidential candidate in Magere.
From Monday this week, all Motor Vehicle sections at URA that handle car registration, particularly the officers who handled Bobi’s Vehicle were summoned to record statements on how the car was registered and no one made an alert.
The warehousing section , Licensing section and the Clearing Firm which handled the car were put in great fear as they weren’t sure what awaited them.
Today morning a resulution was passed to recall the car for tax re evaluation, the commissioner who worked upon its release one Jane Akello has been sent on forced leave with immediate effect. Akello was working as acting commissioner for about one year in the position of Namuli who was dropped by the board last year.
