Uganda Cranes coach Jonathan Mckinstry has fired his goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba and replaced him with Sadiq Wassa.
It is not known whether Wassa’s appointment is permanent but will steer the team, alongside Jonathan Mckinstry, Livingston Mbabazi and Abdallah Mubiru at the CHAN mini tournament.

It is said that Kajoba left Cranes camp to attend Church service on Christmas Morning without consent from the Northern Irishman, our sources have exclusively learnt.
The furious Mckinstry reportedly told FUFA that Kajoba’s departure from the team’s camp goes against the regulations.
The unhealthy relationship finally hit its climax on Christmas morning when Mckinstry tried to reach Kajoba who was in church, but in vain.
The decision, despite being selectively applied, will set a precedence and be an example to many who would have broken the Covid19 regulations of the camp.

He said that Kajoba, attending Church and interacting with the outside, will bring Covid19 in Camp. Consequently, Mckinstry has forwarded the case to the Federation in Mengo and has asked for a replacement.
