The events Company ,Top Boy Entertainment Records salted a show that was dubbed ‘ The Big Show ‘ over the weekend at Lugogo cricket Oval .However the show did not go as it was anticipated because there was a low turn up .
The show that took place at Lugogo Cricket Oval over the weekend had a list of international stars who were set to thrill revelers on the night including Beenie Man, Nigerian Oxlade Official, and South African entertainers Focalistic, Mellow, and Sleazy.
The show was designed to be a VIP concert that was highly charged from Shs150k and above. Nigerian singer Oxlade didn’t take to the stage stating that he had not been fully paid.
However ,revellers chose to remain home to bonk and others opted to attend other shows in the city and event was described as ” the worst flop ” of this year.
In the statement released by Top Boy on Sunday blamed the politics in the industry for their concert flop which was played against them by a few promoters and some members of their own team
They refuted the allegations that they didn’t even pay Bennie Man his agreed amount and thanked him for delivering a good performance despite the low turn – up.
Top Boy Ent. further disclosed that a lot of fake tickets were printed and of the estimated 15,500 people that attended the concert, only 753 people bought genuine tickets, making it hard for the company to benefit from the show in which they allege to have invested over Usd300,000.
They thanked the few people that withstood the embarrassing moments and came out to support the event and revealed that they will take a unanimous break to reflect on what could have been done better.
