National Unity Platform Presidential Candidate Robeet Kyagulanyi Sentamu has refused to sign bond papers in absence of his lawyers.

According to KFM News,  Kyagulanyi who is held at Nalufenya Police starion has told Police to either let him go without any charges or be taken to Court.

“He didn’t want to be charged and given bond because that would mean he keeps reporting at the facility as and when he’s wanted. He said this would slow him down so he wants to either be taken to court or released,” the source said.

It should be remembered that Kyagulanyi was arrested yesterday in Luuka district over holding a Political rally of more than 200 people which is against Ministry if health guidelines of curbing Covid 19.

After his arrest, protests broke out in Kampala and other parts of the country leading to the death of seven people and 45 others injured, according to police.
