Musician Cinderella Ssanyu, widely known simply as Cindy believes she is the reason fellow musician, Sheebah Karungi is successful since she mentored her into the music industry.
Soon after organising a successful concert early this year, Cindy downplayed Sheebah’s music talent, something that sparked off a verbal and music war between the two.
Consequently, Cindy released a song dubbed ‘Copy cat’ in which she stung Sheebah, accusing her of being deficient in creativity.

Sheebah in turn released ‘Jealousy’ in which she responds to Cindy, claiming that her hostility toward her music is born out of jealousy.
While discussing her ‘Copy Cat’ song, which had since then become a hit, the King Herself confirmed that the song was only written because she felt it since she mentored Sheebah and thus deserves respect from her.
“When I wrote the so-called ‘beef’ song, I didn’t do it to sell. I didn’t even know it would sell, because women have never beefed in this industry, I sang about it because it was real, that’s how I felt at the time,” she said.
“This wasn’t just some industry person, she was my student for a year, and I mentored her.”
“Like, you can go against anybody else, but not me, I mentored you!” she added while speaking in a recent interview.
