Singer Alexander Bagonza aka A Pass has shown dissatisfaction with Ugandan artistes nominated in the 2021 MTV Africa music awards. The list of nominees was released on Wednesday 9th December 2020.
Six Ugandan artistes were nominated in the Best Ugandan Act category one of which was Bebe Cool, Spice Diana, Sheebah Karngi, John Blaq, Vinka, and Daddy Andre.
Most musicians and their fans including Sheilah Gashumba and Apass were not satisfied with this list suggesting that Winnie Nwagi and Fik Fameica should not have missed these nominations the fact that they hae musically performed very well this year.
According to A Pass, Bebe Cool did not deserve the nomination because he has not done enough, explaining that they are artistes like Winnie Nwagi and Fik Fameica who have had better music than he has had.
“About the MTV MAMA2021 issue, I suggest BebeCool should be removed off the list and if not A Pass or Winnie Nwagi, at least Fik should have been nominated,” A Pass noted through his twitter page on Thursday.
On the other hand, Sheilah Gashumba, these awards are not authentic and are filled with forgery.
“They might say I talk too much but just know, you are failing the INDUSTRY!! Yesssss, YOU! You know yourselves!! From rigging and playing friend cards in Ugandan awards now you have moved on to International awards!! Shame on you #MTVMama2021”
Ps its BEST UGANDAN ACT not Best International Ugandan Act or Best East African Act so that means an artist that has had hits in Uganda in the year 2020 😂😂 Ela its only the Ugandan category that looks dodgy 😂😂 #MTVMAMA
