H.E President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has send serious warning anyone planning to disrupt his swearing-in as elected President of the Republic of Uganda during his recent presidential national address.
While addressing the nation on Sunday, president Museveni said security would crush anyone who tries to disrupt the process and revealed that such plans are being arranged by jokers.
There have recently been posters circulating and pinned across Kampala streets written on “Museveni Tajja Kulayira” which loosely translates as “Museveni will not swear-in”.
The opposition had been planning to stop the swearing-in of the president, but he assured them that they won’t because the security organs will work on them seriously.
“The opposition had been planning to stop the swearing-in of the president, they won’t because the security forces will stop them. They won’t stop swearing-in. Security forces will go for him or her,” He said.
He added that they plan all crazy stuff like killing opposition themselves and claim it is government. To conspire to do that is a crime. I advise them to drop it. I am happy many youths are refusing to follow the criminal plans of their leaders. You can’t disrupt Uganda. Whoever is telling you is deceiving you.
NUP’S Robert Kyagulanyi, Museveni’s biggest rival had run to court to challenge his victory in the 2021 polls only to withdraw the petition citing bias of the judges. Kyagulanyi thereafter said he had thrown the matter to the public court and called the nation for peaceful demonstration to claim his victory from Museveni
