On Tuesday morning, residents of Kubbiri, Mulago were left in panic mode after Pastor Kakande’s Church came crumbling down into a massive heap.
Pastor Samuel Kakande of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations has been for some time now been constructing new church premises that would be able to accommodate more of his flock.
However, the building that was still under construction collapsed on Tuesday, injuring at least three people.
Those injured were identified as Robert Ddembe, Eddy Namasanga, and Alex Batumbi all of whom were rushed to hospital in critical states.
Following the collapse, there has been a lot of speculation on what could have led to the disastrous incident with some residents attributing it to witchcraft from Kakande’s enemies.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Police mouthpiece, the collapse was a result of shoddy work and neglect of the building, adding that investigations into the matter are in full gear.
“Police in Wandegeya is investigating circumstances under which material fell off a construction site owned by Synagogue church of all nations, injuring three people. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain what exactly happened,” he said, through a press release.
