Police Speaks out on Bobi Wine Arrest

The Inspector-General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola has said that the first days of campaigns have been filled with disobedience of guidelines put up by the ministry of health and Electoral Commission.

It should be noted that Health Ministry had allowed public gatherings of not more  than 200 people for campaign rallies something that Bobi Wine and his supporters have nit respected.

While addressing journalists in Kampala, AIGP Edward Ochom the police Director Operations said that  that they will not hesitate to arrest any presidential candidate found disobeying health guidelines put up by Ministry if health.

National Unity Platform presidential flag bearer, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has been arrested today over violation of Electoral Commission guidelines on campaigns.

Anti Riot Police, under the command of a one, Frank Mwesigye sorrounded Bobi Wine’s car as he attempted to enter Luuka town, where he was stated to hold his campaigns.

According to the Electoral Commission, presidential cvandidates were allowed only 200 supporters during campaigns to check on the spread of COVID-19.

However, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu instead had more than a hundred crowds swarming around him during campaigns, hence exposing suporters to the pandemic hence his arrest.
