Following the arrest and detention of two Nigerian artistes, Omah Lay and Tems, other Nigerian artistes have rallied behind them calling for their unconditional release.
Soon after performing for hundreds of revellers at Ddungu Resort Munyonyo, Omah Lay, Tems and several others were arrested and charged for doing actions likely to cause an infectious disease.
However, artistes lashed out at Uganda Police and it’s judiciary, pointing out that the organizers of the concert were to blame and not the artistes who were performing while negligent on the existing SOPs.
Several tweets from Davido, Joeboy, Fireboy and key musicians all voice the same concern.
Several comments from Nigerians also went as far as belittling Uganda’s music industry explaining that Omah Lay is bigger than Uganda’s music industry as a whole.
Others claimed that Davido can buy Uganda and donate it to Rwanda.
