NBS Television is set to train its employees on the minimum broadcasting standards and what is expected of professional journalism, sources have learnt.
The project, which will be conducted in collaboration with the Uganda Communications Commission is expected to equip the station’s presenters with more knowledge regarding the professional code of conduct of journalists and broadcasting standards.
Producers and entertainment show hosts are the main target of the project which has been made mandatory for the Next Media employees.
According to snoops close to Next Media, NBS TV’s management decided to take this path after their shows were almost banned by UCC
NBS’ decision comes at a time when NBS Uncut show host, Lord Kayz was jailed alongside his workmates for allegedly spreading false news and character assassination
However, after being released , Kayz vowed to continue doing his job and is not bothered by naysayers.
