President Yoweri Tibuhabulwa Kaguta Museveni has joined three other Regional Heads of state for a mini peace and security summit in Congo Brazzaville.
President Museveni who is on a visit in Congo Brazzaville was invited by President Dennis Sassou Nguesso on Saturday.
President Museveni was accompanied to Congo Brazzaville Peace and Security by former Prime Minister Rt Hon Amama Mbabazi among several other government officials.
He was later joined by other three Heads of States from the region to discuss security issues including Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo and President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé Eyadéma of Togo for a mini summit on peace and security in the region.
It should be noted that this mini peace and security summit comes at a time when a wave of military coups have swept across West African countries.
President Museveni thanked his counterpart of Congo Brazzaville President Dennis N’guesso for his hospitality accorded to the visitors and said that he hoped what they discussed will help maintain security in the region and Africa at large.

According to them, military takeover will not help solve the challenges being faced by African countries but dialogue.
