Juja MP Francis Munyua Waititu is dead and his family has confirmed that he died on Monday evening while receiving treatment at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.
Leaders from across the political divide in Kenya took to Twitter to express their condolences.
Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya said: “My heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and people of Juja constituency following the death of Hon Francis Munyua Waititu aka Wakapee. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Kitui West MP Edith Nyenze said: “My deepest condolences to the family, friends and constituents of Juja constituency following the passing-on of Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu. May God give you fortitude to bear this great loss.”
