Musician Eric Opoka alias Eezzy has accused the Ministry of Health of destroying his music career by banning his hit banger “Tumbiza sound”.
It should be noted that last year in December, Eezzy held a meeting with the health ministry officials who asked him to create a remix of “Tumbiza sound” and include a message which sensitized people to observe Covid q9 guidelines..
While speaking in an inyerview with NBS UNCUT, Eezzy said that he had to first send the new lyrics of the song to Ministry of Health for approval where after they would sponsor the audio and visual production for the song which they did not do.
“I was promised that that they will cater for the remix and asked me to pause the Tumbiza Sound. No one has called me yet yet I submitted the lyrics. I don’t know what is happening,” Eezzy said.
The singer expressed frustration towards the Ministry’s officials explaining that they sabotaged “Tumbiza pound’s progress which was getting more viewership on YouTube each passing day.
He further revealed that YouTube was his source of income during the lock down but when the Ministry threatened to ban the song, it has since stopped getting more viewership on YouTube.
Eezzy claims that officials from the health ministry have since ignored him despite fulfilling all the conditions they set for him.
“Those views were bringing me money during the lockdown but they threatened people. I wanted to do the remix but they did not send me money. I call upon the government to look into my issues,” Eezzy added.
