Over the past few years , a number of Ugandan artistes have had to be forced into rehab due to drug addiction .Most artistes who’ve undergone the experience never speak out ,with many opting to keep it private .
However ,Ugandan Dancehall artiste Mbagira Tonny alias Latinum confessed to using drugs in the past and that was forced to be taken to rehab.
In a televised interview ,the ” Buwoomi ” singer revealed that he said that alcohol and drugs were his deal meal and breakfast which forced him to be taken to rehabilitation center for two years.
He further said that he had wrong people on his side but he thank God that he is still alive and breathing.
“I had gone to rehab. I used to take a lot of alcohol. I used to do a lot of stuff, so I went to rehab to heal from the addictions.”,he said .
“I thank God that I’m still alive… I had the wrong people on my side.You can’t wake up in the morning and stop drinking. I used to drink a lot People always deserve a second chance.”he added.
According to Latinum, he is now free from addiction and has moved on in pursuit of his dreams. He is the Young Dollar Entertainment label CEO and now is has now singer with Eddy Kenzo dubbed ‘ Low’
