Singer Yusuf Ssenabulya alias Roden Y Kabako has been accused of defrauding promoter’s money and refusing to perform in Mubende.
It is alleged that the two are now in a bitter fight .
The ‘Ntolomwe’ born entertainer who had been hired to headline a ‘Bye Bye Curfew’ event at Simon’s Gardens in Mubende Municipality shocked many revellers when he refused to perform at the event after the failure of the promoter (MC Mayor) to raise the then agreed shs1.5million performance payment.
According to people present, the singer was supposed to sing at Simon’s Gardens to mark the end of curfew and reopening of the economy after nearly two years ago imposed to contain the deadly Covid-19 virus.
When he walked into the gardens to perform, he was informed by MC Mayor how he would be paid later after gathering up the gate collections something that the singer refused thereby shocking those revellers present.
Having learned of the disappointing development, partiers tried to beat up on Kabako before he could storm out of Mubende late in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
The high on drugs singer could later trade a forest of abuses with MC Mayor through a phone call that have since went viral as Kabako accuses Mayor of being self centered and trying to cripple his career.
