MPs Mohammed Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana have been charged afresh with murder.
The two, who were arrested by joint security operatives had just been released from prison on bail when the fresh charges were slapped on them.
The struggling legislators are charged with commiting nurder at Kiseka in Lwengo district. Police believe the duo murdered someone in that area.
Police mouthpiece, Fred Enanga in his press brief claimed that Ssegirinya was arrested on charges of treason moments after his release on bail.
“ I would like to inform you that Hon Mohammed Ssegirinya was rearrested on charges of treason and icuting violence by the joint security task team of investigators. He has been transferred to the special investigations division in Kireka for further statement recording,” Enanga said.
Ssewanyana and Ssegirinya had earlier been charged with nurder, attempted murder, abetting terrorism and masterminding the Masala murders
They were detained at Kigo prison and were later granted bail. However, they were re arrested only minutes after being released.
