Kampala Regional Khadi, Sheikh Sulaiman Guggwa, one of the big men at Uganda Muslim Supreme Council is reportedly ill, said to be suffering from stomach complications. He is currently held at a hospital which is yet identified.
Ugandans on social media have cited that Sheikh Sulaiman might have been poisoned just like the two fallen clerics, Sheikh Anas Kaliisa and Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte.
Muslims in Uganda have been traumatized over the constant deaths of their leaders, some say that they are being intentionally murdered by mafias in the Government.
This comes after several Muslims have been shot at in broad day light and some die suddenly like the late Sheikh Mustafa Bahiga who was shot dead by unknown assailants on a boda boda.
Sheikh Dactoor Abdu Kadir Muwaya, who was the leader of the Shia Muslim Community in Uganda was shot dead at his home in Mayuge district on Christmas Day.
It should be noted that Sheikh Anas Noor Kaliisa died in November 4th 2020 while Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata died in December 4th 2020. Accusations were made by the public, the likes of Political Analyst Tamale Mirundi who asserted that this is all a mafia tactic of using Poison that kills people in a space of one month.
