NUP’s Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine successfully launched his manifesto in Mbarara albeit with army interference. His manifesto was launched under the theme ‘A new Uganda’ giving special priority to the first five program which is:-
- A people-centered governance.
- Equal access to quality health and education services.
- Inclusive economic development..
- Land natural resources and environmental protection.
- National security and international relations.
The reknown activist also made promises to different sectors I’d entrusted with their votes like teachers and security personnel.
Teachers.
The Kyadondo East MP assured teaches that if elected as president, his government will prioritize their welfare and also make sure their salaries are paid in time.
“Our promise to the teachers of Uganda is that we shall prioritise their welfare. Teachers must not wait for three months to be paid a salary that is not even enough to pay school fees for their own children,” he said.
Health workers.
To Ugandan doctors and nurses, Kyagulanyi noted that over 100 of thee very year for abroad searching for better working conditions. His government will address this issue and respect their work.
“Our promise to the health workers us that there work will be respected and rewarded by the government.” he vowed.
Security personnel.
The presidential contender promised police men better living as working conditions on top of a salary increment.
“Our promise to our men and women in uniform is that they will be paid better as soon as we are in government.”
Youths.
Bobi Wine promised to create over 5 million jobs for the youths in his first term as President of the Ugandan Republic.
Soon after his Manifesto Launch, he was christened ‘Musinguzi’ and awarded a tribal spear by the westeros.
