“I want to start Managing my own Daughter, She Should Leave Swangz Avenue” – Winnie Nwagi’s Father

Father to talented female artists Winnie Nakanwagi commonly known as Winnie Nwagi, Mr. Henry Kabiito has said that his daughter should cut ties with Famous Record label, Swangz Avenue.

During a one on one interview with NBS TV, Mr. Kabiito said that he wants to start managing his own Daughter and make sure her music career is stabel, something that Swangz Avenue does not do, according to him.

He explained that Winnie Nwagi’s current contract with Swangz Avenue Record label is limiting her growth.

“I have connections so I can manage her well. I advised Nwagi to leave Swangz Avenue long time ago but she thinks it (Swangz) is the best for her,” Kabiito said.

Mr. Kabiito further revealed that he had secured good endorsements for his daughter,only to find out that the Swangz bosses deterred her from signing the deal.

Nwagi had passion for music at a very early age while making music in school. She emerged second runner up at the second season of CocaCola Rated Next in 2014.

She was later signed to Swangz Avenue, a premier record label in Kampala. She released numerous songs such as; Kyowulila, Gwenoonya, Embeera, Katono Katono and so on.

Winnie came to limelight in 2016 after releasing her song “Musawo” which boast of massive airplay on both Television and Radio stations across the country. The song also got a rendered acoustic version from the Ugandan singer, Irene Ntale.
