After the shocking reappearance of the King of Buganda, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi that shocked many following the fact that he looks weak and physically drained during his 66th Birthday celebrations.
For sometime now, there has been propaganda making rounds on social media and seen inside the Buganda Kingdom.
Tamale Mirundi accused the Flamboyant Buganda Premier Charles Peter Mayiga of being a mafia who works for some mafias inside the ruling Government to cause Buganda Kingdom downfall.
Also, for some good time, renown Political bloggers like Fred Kajubi Lumbuye has come out on several occasions with what he claims to be concrete information that he has been reliably informed by secret investigators that the Katikiro switched sides from the Buganda Kingdom to NRM so that he can weaken the Kingdom and its influence in the central parts of Uganda.
Reports indicate that the Government belies that it cannot rule steadily with such a big competitor in the Central region of the Country.
Also, Late last year, the same blogger also came out to claim that Kabaka Ronald Mutebi had been poisoned and rushed to Kenya for treatment which pressured the Kingdom to share pictures of the Kabaka visiting the President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta but to many, he didn’t appear to be well which later confirmed that the allegations could have been true.
However, Charles Peter Mayiga came out and branded the people who made these allegations as, fraudsters, drunkards and dopeheads, told them to stop spreading fake news that the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
“Early this year, I warned the Baganda to stop believing those people who are always on social media, especially those who don’t have known employment, fraudsters, drunkards and weed takers. They do not want a peaceful Buganda that is why they are unhappy with the small achievements we have made as Buganda Kingdom, their main agenda is to make Baganda lose hope something that we will not accept,” Mayiga said.
He rubbished claims that the king is bed ridden and asked Baganda that before frequenting him with calls asking about the Kabaka’s health, they should first think about the person who issued the said statement.
