Hope For Bar Owners As Government Re-Opens More Public Places

The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Health have considered re-opening more public places in a bid to ease the lock down under which Uganda has been suffocating.

Having allowed schools, public and private transport, saloons, churches amongst others to operate while observing certain SOPs, the government has considered opening more places.

Addressing the media recently, the Minister of Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng revealed that cinemas, gyms, massage parlors, and mobile markets will be allowed to operate effective Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Casinos and gaming outlets have also been cleared to operate after fulfilling certain SOPs.

To the dismay of club goers, bars however remain closed untill further notice. A section of Ugandans are however hopeful bars are the next to be re-opened.
