Mp elect Makindye West Hon. Allan Ssewanyana has officially out and revealed that he will be contesting for the post Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) President.
Ssewanyana has made the announcement this morning at his offices in Makindye swearing to overthrow over stayed incumbent Moses Magogo who he says has made the federation his personal property hence creating unenjoyably poor environments for every stakeholder including; players, investors, coaches, sponsors, media and fans. He asked him not to stand again.
This will be the second time for Ssewanyana to take part in FUFA’s top office as he tried to contest in 2013 but he was eliminated on technicalities in the FUFA rules hence leaving Magogo unopposed.
Ssewanyana’s announcement comes just a week after Magogo hinted that he will be coming back for the third term. He has been unopposed in the two previous contests (2013 and 2017 elections). His tenure will expire in August 31, 2021.
Mujib Kasule is also expected to announce his bid for the FUFA seat tomorrow on Tuesday.
