Legendary musician, Halima Namakula has promised to work tirelessly for the betterment of the lives of the elderly as she contests for MP, Elderly persons on an NRM ticket.
The singer, known for her famous song ‘Ekimbewo’ explained that she has always been preparing for twenty years to represent elderly persons in Parliament.
“The vision is continuation of the work I’ve been doing for over 20 years working closely with the Elderly Nationwide. It has been my passion to improve the lives of my fellow elder persons. I’m excited for the next step fas an MP for the Elderly, central region 2021-2026.”
Halima promised to stick to and practice the titles Ugandans have accorded her including ‘Maama Wa Uganda. Ssenga, Jjajja, Omuntu Wa’Bantu.’ amongst others
