Fred Lumbuye Kidnapped in Turkey Over Museveni, Kabaka Death Rumours

Turkey based Ugandan blogger, Fred Lumbuye has been arrested and whisked off to an unknown location over circulating false news on Museveni and Kabaka health.

According to a source close to the Turkey based blogger, Kajjubi was kidnapped yesterday (Tuesday, 3rd August)  between 9:00pm and 11:00pm.

The ruckus occurred at his home where he was approached by four armed men. He was beaten to pulp, thrown into a van and whisked to an unknown location.

Videos circulating on social media claim that the blogger was arrested. However, Police in Turkey deny ever arresting Mr. Lumbuye and promised to investigate the matter.

This event comes only weeks since President Museveni was declared dead, something which made the head of state furious. He directed security to arrest anyone who was behind the rumours

Police also announced that bloggers and vloggers are on the spotlight for circulating false news, something that made their hairs stand upright.

Charles Twiine, the CID spokesperson confirmed during a press brief that the hunt is still on for people who spread false news about the president and the Kabaka.

Lumbuye has been very critical and bitter about the Ugandan government and Buganda kingdom officials. It is suspected that he was whisked off by a ‘drone’
