Former NTV Uganda journalist now state Minister for Karamoja Affairs, Agnes Nandutu has spoken out about social media reports claiming that she is dead.
Appearing in 20 minutes video,Agnes trashed the allegations and castigated all people who are spreading rumors by asking them to let her enjoy her life and serve the nation.
In the past few weeks, Nandutu has been a subject of discussion on social media after some people claimed that she had breathed her last after being admitted last week.
At the end of April 2022, Nandutu is said to have slipped and fallen in her bathroom and reportedly suffered a blood clot for which she was rushed to a hospital where she has been receiving treatment.
“Who are those spreading lies that I am dead? Countrymen, those who love me don’t cry. I am very much alive and kicking. Those who are spreading rumors, can you let me enjoy my life as I serve this country?” Nandutu said in the video.
Julius Mucunguzi, who is the head and advisor of Communications at the office of the Prime Minister on 28th April 2022 confirmed that Nandutu was rushed to a hospital after an accident that resulted in a blood clot.
Mucunguzi however noted that Nandutu was progressively healing from her injuries after receiving intensive treatment adding that additional information on her health cannot be discussed in the media.
