Senegalese American Music star, Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam, famously known as Akon, has on Friday morning arrived in Uganda for an official business visit.
Akon’s visit follows his wife Rozina Negusei visit early this year in February.
The American star was welcomed by Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Mr. Abbey Walusimbi, Eddy Kenzo, Sheikh Ramadhan Mulindwa from the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council asb well as music promoter Isaac Kigozi.
During his visit, Akon is expected to meet the President to discuss different investment opportunities in various sectors of Energy, Tourism, Infrastructure development to mention but a few.
Akon has established himself as a big investor after recently acquiring a mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo but has also set up several investments including the Akon city back home in Senegal.
