The Ministry of Health has urged Ugandans to remain patient as it is still considering re opening bars and discos.
This followed an earlier communication from UNCC Chairperson who explained that they had written to the Ministry to allow concerts and bars to operate.
A section of news websites had also started publishing the news that bars had re opened, something that excited revellers.
However, in a tweet scrutinized by this website, the Ministry maintains bars and concerts remain banned as consultations are still ongoing.
“The Ministry of Health would like to state that entertainment centres or concerts have NOT BEEN OPENED as is being oirtryard in sections of the media. All bars, night clubs and discotheques remain closed” reads the tweet.
The entertainment industry has remained on lockdown for over eight months now. Artistes have resorted to online concerts.
