Forum for Democratic Change former president, Dr. Kizza Besigye has given his take on the 2020 Campaigns after a lengthy silence. He is of the opinion that Bobi Wine is only competing with Bebe Cool as opposed to President Museveni.
The four time presidential candidate observed that he has never seen President Museveni so relaxed in election campaigns.
He explained that NUP’s Bobi Wine appears to be competing with other candidates and Bebe Cool for crowds rather than votes.
“One might think that Mr. Museveni is not even a candidate in this election. The impression he has created is that the other candidates are competing with themselves alone or with Bebe Cool”. Besigye said, while appearing on a local television.
Besigye, who decided not to stand for president this time citing Plan B, which according to him is the only way to uproot Museveni from Government is if the view that opposition should have adopted the scientific campaigns like NRM.
“The battle for numbers (at rallies campaign centers) is with Bebe Cool as opposed to scientific campaigns.” Besigye said
Dr. Kizza Besigye is respected for having stood to compete with President Museveni four times but losing the election. He stepped down and allowed Patrick Amuriat to become FDC president.
