Bobi Wine Free After 11 Days of House Arrest in Magere, Police Leaves

Security forces have at last withdrawn from former National unity platform (NUP) Presidential camdidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s home in Magere.

This was after the High Court earlier issued a directive to Police  the army ordering them to vacate the home Bobi Wine.

This followed his undefined detention at his home in Magere after 2021 General Elections.

The High court also advised the state to present evidence of Bobi Wine being a danger to society and arrest him,  take him to an authorized detention centre  and later produce him in court otherwise his continued detention at his home with no reason is illegal and an infringement on his personal liberties.

“These are all serious allegations of grave offences and it would be proper to follow the due process of the law in regards all the allegations made against the applicant. The due process has been defined as conducting criminal proceedings against the applicant.”
