Ali Kirunda Kivejinja was born on 12th June 1935 and by the time of his death on 19th December 2020 he was aged 85 Years.
Kivejinja was a veteran Ugandan politician and senior presidential advisor to the President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni. He was the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016.

Kivejinja studied at the Kibuli Junior School and Busoga College Mwiri in Uganda and then took a pre-university course at Madras Christian College before obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Delhi University on a Government of India scholarship.
