The Uganda sand cranes defied the odds by finishing in fourth position ,where they fell to Morocco at the weekend in Senegal in fight to win slot for third position .
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has rewarded the Uganda Cranes with UGx 185.9M for finishing in fourth position of African of Nations beach soccer held in Senegal.
Sand Cranes defied odds to grace semi – finals but fell to Mozambique and even for the third position they fell to Morocco 5-3 .
Despite the loss,the players had done enough to make the country proud and the federation has stepped forward to appreciate them with Token of 7.7 M each member who was in tournament .

The 24-man Uganda Sand Cranes to share UGX 185.9M for their exceptional performance at the 2021 AFCON BEACH Soccer.
For the 22 days spent in camp preparing for and taking part in the tournament, each member will be entitled to UGX7.7M “,FUFA shared on its socials.
Though Sand cranes missed out on a chance to play in FIFA World Cup beach soccer which is supposed to take part in Russia 2022 after being knocked out of Semi – Finals.
Now host Senegal and Mozambique who reached AFCON beach soccer finals will represent Africa at FIFA world cup beach soccer in Russia.
